Slovenia has almost 39,000 kilometres of public roads.
The Slovenian Infrastructure Agency (former Slovenian Roads Agency) manages main and regional roads and cycling routes, while the rest of the roads are managed by other operators.

RAILWAYS

The public railway infrastructure is owned by the Republic of Slovenia. The operator of the public railway infrastructure is SŽ, d.o.o., as per the Railway Transport Act.
The Slovenian Infrastructure Agency is responsible for the construction, upgrade, reconstruction and maintenance of public railway infrastructure, which comprises 1,209 kilometres of railway lines.
